Now is your chance to celebrate your dogs and give them a chance to "tag-along" up the Iditarod Trail!  Each musher will carry 5, one-of-a-kind, personalized dog tags (medallions) in their sleds up the Iditarod Trail, from Willow to Nome.  Each tag costs $250 and can be personalized with your dogs name and a message (up to 4 lines of text, max of approximately 60 characters, including spaces).  Whether this is for your brand new puppy, to celebrate your current dog, to commemorate your furry family member who has passed, this is a great way to send your dog on a tag-along up the historic Iditarod Trail in the 2025 Race.

Your medallion will be delivered to your musher at the race restart on Willow Lake and will be packed safely on his or her sled for its journey to Nome.   If your musher scratches in the race, your tag will still make its way up the Iditarod Trail, ensuring your dog goes all 1,000 miles throughout the vast wilderness of Alaska.   Once it arrives under the Burled Arch, your personalized tag will be put in an envelope in Nome, postmarked from the Nome, Alaska post office and put into the mail stream to make its way back to you! 
 

This is a new fundraiser that was first launched for the 2024 race, and helps provide funds for race operations, which include but are not limited to Veternarian care before, during and after the race, food for 1,500+ volunteers, fuel for the Iditarod Air Force who are transporting humans, dogs and supplies up and down the trail, and more.  THANK YOU for supporting The Iditarod and good luck on securing your tags!
