Don't miss the opportunity to get in on the bidding and claim your seat.
Also, back for the 2025 Race is the IditaRider Meet and Greet! Enjoy a Mooses Tooth pizza Luncheon and feel free to bring one guest and meet the Iditarod Musher you will be riding with!
Whose sled will we see you in at the Ceremonial Start on March 1st?!
THE AUCTION WILL END ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 5, 2025 AT 5:00 PM AKST / 9:00 PM EST, WITH EACH ITEM CLOSING IN 5 MINUTE INTERVALS (with the exception of the VIP Packages).
PLEASE SEE BELOW ABOUT TIMED CLOSING & POPCORN BIDDING.
If you do not see a 2025 musher listed in the auction, it is because they have been reserved for
VIP's and Iditarod sponsors.
Donate a Ride: If you aren't going to be at the start of the race but would like to gift a special ride of a life time to a special Iditarod fan, you can register for the auction, bid, and if you are a winning bidder, choose a deserving race fan to enjoy an adventure of a life time! You can make a dream come true by winning at the auction.
The Iditarod IditaRider auction is a great way to support the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race and gives you or another Iditarod Fan the chance to win the ride of a lifetime! Your winning auction bid is a donation to the ITC which helps us meet the financial obligations of the Iditarod Race. Without this fundraiser and those bidding on this auction, we would not be able to put this race on each year, so we want to express how grateful we are for your bid!

*IMPORTANT NOTE* - This auction is set up with TIMED BIDDING and POPCORN BIDDING:
TIMED CLOSING: Mushers will time out in 5 minute intervals, going in alphabetical order. For example, Brenda Mackey's sled will close at 5:00pm AKST (with the exception of the popcorn bidding rule below, in which it could be extended), then Connor McMahon will close at 5:05pm AKST (with the popcorn bidding exception), Emily Ford at 5:10pm AKST and so on. Please see below for popcorn bidding, which will extend each of these bidding windows if a bid is placed right before the musher is supposed to close.
POPCORN BIDDING: Means if you place a bid right before the item's closing time, it will extend the auctioning IditaRider seat by 2 minutes. Here is an example: On auction close date, Sunday, January 5, Bob makes a bid on Brenda Mackey's sled at 4:59pm and Brenda is scheduled to close at 5:00 pm. That will then extend the bidding window by 2 minutes, giving Sally (who was also bidding on this IditaRider seat) an extra window to place another bid, which will then extend the bidding window by another 2 minutes, giving Bob another opportunity to bid. Bob places another bid, which then extends the auction by another 2 minutes, giving Sally another chance. Sally decides she cannot bid anymore, no other parties bid on the item, so the additional 2 minutes from Bob's bid runs out and Bob then Brenda Mackey's sled. If Sally were to place another bid (or any other interested bidders), and this cycle were to continue, it will end after 60 minutes and the highest bidder at 6pm ASKT/10pm EST will be the winner of that item.
So, just because you placed a higher bid at 4:59pm AKST/ 8:59pm EST, (or the minute before your desired musher is supposed to close) doesn't mean the bidding is over... stick around the auction page to ensure that you keep getting your bids in on the bidding war and win that item!
